Is there any way I can tell wat year a golf cart motor is??

Somewhere arouond 2000 CC started putting a year sticker and bar code tag on the fan housing? Othere than that? They had the flatheads until '91. OHV fe290 and fe350 CCW '92-'96. fe290&350 CW '97 until present. Hope this helps?

To clairify...
Motor = Electric Engine = Gas If it's electric... the serial number will get you in close proximity, but not the exact year! If it's gas... what scotty said!  |

Yer right??? BUt every electric MOTOR I have seen has all the info posted on it? I guess that is why I thought he meant gas? But I see we are in the electric section, sometimes that has no relevance
