do you have accessories? lights, horn, radio, etc???? If so are they connected to a dc to dc converter... you may have just had an accessory causing the spark...

the reason i say solenoid is, there is a resistor across the solenoid that charges the controllers capacitor to make it start smoothly, if the solenoid goes out it will just bump once and not go....

You have to be blatant to get your point across as clearly as possible.

So did you did you get the cart fixed cchuntc? Next time just tap the terminal on the stud to see if it is wired right if its not it will spark really bad if you hold it onto it for too long and it isnt wired up right it will weld to the stud and possibly blow a battery.

Still having issues..... bought a new solendoid and it still did the same thing, gave up and took it to a local guy who fixes them. He told me the controller was shot.... I thought OK I was planning on upgrading to a 400amp anyway. Still no go....now he is telling me the OBC needs replacing.....and the solenoid according to him was OK. I am ordering a new OBC and picking the cart up and putting on myself as he is off to hunting camp. I am as well hoping UPS can get it to me and this is final issue. Although I am a little leary because I thought the OBC has to to with charging not the actual running? Any thoughts!

Thanks in advance

The OBC has a safety to prevent the car from going when plugged in.

if the OBC is stopping the car from moving, you can hot wire it. (providd its a series car with a f/r HANDLE.) there is a small yellow wire leading to the solenoid run a wire from there to battery pack - (either on the battery, or the - post on the controller) This would atleast get you up and running now...

The only danger is you then could be capable of driving away with your charger plugged in.. Also, if your car is not a series, then doing this will blow your controller.
