Default 2001 Club Car

This is my first cart, and I put a 6 inch Jakes Lift on it,with some 23 inch tires. I really like the cart and would like to use it for hunting and was looking for advise on how to get a little more torque out of it? Not really looking for speed though. And just curious how many others use a cart like this for hunting?
Thanks

well, provide some more information about the cart so we can see what kind it is exactly. usually to get more torque you can put a different controller on it and just run the stock motor, but it all depends on how much more torque youre wanting

As Black Hornet said, give us some more details on what you're starting with and we'll be able to help.

Statistics show that next to golf, hunting is the next most use for a golf cart.

Not sure what all info. you guys might need. But its just a plain old 48 volt golf cart. I guess maybe they call it the DS?

Your cart is a 48V, DS with regenerative braking. The regen system makes upgrading a little more difficult. I converted mine to series but it is not cheap. There are also motor upgrades just for regen systems but I don't have any experience with them.

Ok, I will check into it. So can I still do a controller upgrade or a motor upgrade or possibly have to do both?
Thanks

Start with a 400 amp controller and then add the motor if needed
Make sure you get a controller specifically for a Club Car with a SepEx (seperately excited) motor & regen (regenerative) braking
