Default still no oomph with Beast motor....

well I posted a while back about not having the ooomph I feel I should have with my combo,no improvement so far.Heres the combo again...
Axe 650 amp controller
Beast motor
36 v system with 6.4 across the board
"big" cables
25" tires
cart will jump decent but levels off quick at about 15mph and feels like a stock cart,if I let off the throttle then hit it again it just slowly accelerates.
What I am wondering is if it could be a problem with the throttle contacts, programming with the axe controller since the last motor was a 25mph Raptor,I put the beast in with no programming changes made
or could it be the larger tires? The tires are properly inflated.
help or is this all I get for the money?

If I remember correctly, the Raptor is a speed motor and the Beast is a torque motor. They have different RPM specs at the same voltage.

beast motor is a torque monster and is not a speed motor, so you can't compare the 2.

If your gonna go drag racing you don't buy a diesel.

folks I am talking about torque,I could care less about speed.I heard this beast was supposed to be a strong puller, awesome some say.Well I am not impressed at all if this is what big torque is supposed to be.

It won't be for women or kids to drive but you should be able to nearly twist the axles off of it with that combo.
If you reprogram the ramp up on your controller, that thing should almost do a back flip.
Similar specs to yours, check out the wheelie thread:

I have rode in a few carts with high speed motors and the pull harder to topend than my torque motor. Besides the torque motors put out there peak power at low rpms. Hope this helps good luck.
