Re: need help 87 elec. club car
yes, parts are missing i presume, checked motor and it moves, still not sure about the wiring diagram though i see it. cart may be missing this f/r limit swith because i don't see it anywhere. also need to wire in a key switch, but diagram doesn't show me where to wire it in to the f/r switch. i would rather pay someone to hook all this mess up and is it even worth it seeing how the cart is so old? is it a reliable design or is it better just to suck it up and buy a new one?

'87 CC is a 5 solenoid cart. Very reliable when working. Somewhat complicated way of speed regulation..... Not everyone wants to spend enough time to understand and trouble shoot this system. Why did you buy it?

Hey jewellbo44,
I would strongly recommend for someone who has major cart work to do , Buy a Club Car Maint/Service Manual for your cart. Most manuals cover multiple years and Gas and electric. They have trouble flow charts , test procedures ...etc. I have always gotten mine from the Club Cart dealer/repair shop or a site Spenser. Anywhere from $50 - $99. |

I agree!
A solid recommendation for someone who wants to do it yourself. However, I don't get that impression from this fella |

Re: need help 87 elec. club car
i got it for 50 bucks from someone who needed the money. doing them a favor and now my son's are dying to ride it. i have an ezgo thet just quit on me and i'm lost as to why. i'm pretty good at fixing things, i just thought if i could figure out where the **** old yellow wire would go it would be easy, but i guess not. this is a great site though.

Re: need help 87 elec. club car
We are at a loss with the whole yellow wire thing in general. It is so ambiguous. Wire comes in all colors and is easily changed? Do you have a voltmeter and any electrical background?
