Default Brake Light will not turn off

I have a 2004 Precedent, I cannot get the left brake light to turn off no matter what I try. The key is off, and is in neutral. Unplugged what I thought was the brake light plugs from control, but still did not turn off. Any suggestions?

Most Precidents if they have the factory Clubcar light kit in them, have a timer/relay that is supposed to shut the lights off after 15-20seconds. It is usually in the floorboard under the mat. Should be able to access it by way of a panel you remove around the brake and accelerator pedal on the floorboard. Hope this helps

Thanks for the info, I lifted up the mat removed the cover and the brake light went off. It was wet in the area, so must have shorted out, anyway it's off so I'm a happy camper

Great! Glad you got it figured out. On the coast we constantly have problems with either moisture or corrosin from the salt. You can spray any of the contacts/micro switches/electrics with WD/40 to help prevent water and corrosion. WD will NOT conduct electricity so it won't hurt anything.
