Default 48v Powerdrive Club Car Charger

I have a 48v Powerdrive Club Car Charger and I believe the 15 amp circuit breaker went bad on it. Are these readily available or does it need to be ordered from a golf cart store. Also are they easy to change? Thanks.

Well, I was messing with the 15 amp on the front and now it doesn't work at all. I accidentally pulled the part that pops out on the breaker and I can't get it to pop back in. So I figured just replace it. Also, I have a charge light on the cart. It's just a orange light with a battery symbol on it. It was disconnected when I got the cart. Does it come on when the cart needs charging?

Edit: I just took the fuse out and tested it and it is gone. Hopefully Radio Shack has one that I can use.

yes I have seen the circuit breaker available online... do a search for club car charger parts. The charger is made by Lester..so try searcjing that also..you will find what you need. In the meantime, You could take the cover off the charger, remove the spade terminals off the circuit breaker, and install an automotive 15A plastic type fuse in there.TEMPORARILY

I have a parts place not far from my work so I'm gonna try that. I actually was thinking about using the auto fuse for a temp solution.

Hey again Clayton , not very big on temp solution
Do it right the first time , a lot of temp solutions cause problems else where ....

"Does it come on when the cart needs charging "
Yes it will come on and stay on when it needs a charge.

What type of problem would this cause, while he's waiting for the correct part HE WILL BE ORDERING__RIGHT?!?!?!
Theres no way the bare terminal end could touch the metal casing and burn something out, electrocute someone or worse yet start an electrical fire...maybe Boy its a good thing noone would listen to that silly suggestion then huh?

Well, got the part from the parts place near me. Installed it and everything is fine. Actually sounds like the charger is working much better now. Maybe the CB was flaky from the beginning. So, no need for the temp solution.........all is safe and no one died.

Thanks for all the help.
