Battery LED started flashing
My battery LED was running about 50% and suddenly started flashing at bottom LED bar. Cart still runs, but LED keeps flashing even if cart is on the charger. Has anyone seen this before?

Re: Battery LED started flashing
LED's fail - they are electronic! If the cart runs fine, then the meter may be suspect? One thing you can do is to make sure all the connections on the back of it are good.

Re: Battery LED started flashing
Or the batteries are shot? did you fully charge the batteries? I had issue once only with a battery gage, it wouldn't go never under fully charge, it was always showing full...not your case. So far in 5 years and hundreds of them installed, only issue I had.
It could be a bad cell, I have one cart like that now. When it reaches 50%, that cell gets really hot and battery gage and power decrease exponentially. If you smell some sulphur/rotten eggs, there's your problem. They usually flash when they reach the last two led lights, that is NORMAL and means you're killing your batteries and they need inmediate charge!. Cart still will run. |

Re: Battery LED started flashing
I think I found the problem. I have a radio on the cart which my granddaughter left on with the volume turned down. My lights and radio pull off of two batteries. I think the cart sensed the lower voltage on those batteries which would be like a bad cell and that started the LED blinking. Batteries are now charged, radio is off, LED is normal and I'll just wait to see what happens when the batteries start losing this charge.
Thx for all the suggestions/information. |

Re: Battery LED started flashing
You're welcome!
Do yourself a favor and install a couple of alligator clips on those 12v wires to feed radio and keep them rotating 2/2/2 batteries once a week or so, depending the usage. Excessive use of only those 2 batteries will outbalance them faster and ruining the whole battery pack. |
