Steering Wheel upgrade
How can I place a more modern steering wheel on my 1981 electric club car DS? Is it possible? Any other steering wheel or steering system upgrade suggestions?

Re: Steering Wheel upgrade
Check with the site sponsors. I have a billet alum wheel on our cart with a billet adapter.

Re: Steering Wheel upgrade
Is it an older model with a three spoke steering wheel like mine? How can I make sure I get the right adapter?

Just give em a call. Tell em what ya got and what ya want. If they got it they'll hook you up. Some offer discounts to BGW members.

Re: Steering Wheel upgrade
I get from the response that it is not a difficult task. I welcome comments from others who have experienced any problems (or not) changing the steering wheel.

Re: Steering Wheel upgrade
It should be pretty simple to remove old steering wheel and to install new one it should have instructions but i would be willing to bet you could figure it out on your own anyway... Good luck now call a sponsor and get r done

Re: Steering Wheel upgrade
Kind of ironic this thread showed up tonight. Since the lift kit install on my cart, my wheel has not been straight, so this afternoon I figured how hard could it be to get the wheel off, I have removed hundreds of auto steering wheels, even some stubborn ones. Well, I'll just say, I put away the BF hammer, the puller, the air hammer, knee pads and wiped off the feet prints off the dash board...AND MY WHEEL IS STILL CROOKED!!
