power driver charger problems?
I recently bought a 97 cc 48v regen 1 with power drive charger. When I hook the charger to the cart the amp meter needle bounces up and down and the unit goes on and off. Is this normal for an older charger or is a problem?
Thanks |

Re: power driver charger problems?
How the power drive charger works.
It will come on and read the pack Voltage , then Max out. then it will come on again to test if necessary, then off then back on to the correct charge level and go from there. A pack can if deeply discharged packs stay on as long as 16 hours. Make sure U use distilled water and fill 1/4" to 1/2" over the plates A 48 Volt pack MUST be at least 36 Volts for the charger to come on and stay ON ! |

Re: power driver charger problems?
I think the 15 amp breaker or something might have been stuck because while I was waiting for a reply I smacked the side of the controller and it stayed on and no more needle bounce. I might get a new one soon, this thing looks like it's older than my grandfather.
