Fast and slow
Hello and great site. I have a n 07 Precendent that has been working great until the other day. It was set to #3 for speed from the dealer. The batteries are charging fine and I have looked after them. Just the other day I went to use the cart on 3/4 charge and it went real slow. It starts fast and then when it reaches speed it slows down. It still moves along but at a slow speed. I charged the batteries to full and tried again. Still it starts by gaining speed and then slows to a slow speed. Does the OBC need to be reset and if so do I diconnect "all" the batteries and switch it into reverse (in tow mode) until the buzzer shuts off?
Thanks...Steve |

Re: Fast and slow
Called the dealer and they said it would be fixed under warranty no problem. They are sending a service guy out tomorrow. I believe he said it was a speed limit switch or something like that.

Re: Fast and slow
It was the speed sensor and they replaced it under warranty no problem. He said it has a four year warranty or 1000 charges so I don't know what sort of cost it would be if I had to pay.

Re: Fast and slow
Yes warranty is always a good thing. Our dealer has been fantastic. They are located approx 45 minutes away but never complain about coming this way to fix things. I asked if I should load it on the trailer and he said it would be much easier just to send someone out to fix it. It also helps the area I live in is a golf cart friendly gated community so it is in his best interest to keep us all happy.
