Battery desulfators
I'm still curious as to these battery desulfators. Curious enough to email Trojan Batteries to ask what they think of them. Guess what? No reply. They may make the best battery for golf carts (I should know, I've bought enough of them!) but they don't seem to want to answer a question directly related to what they do. Maybe they don't think they would sell as many batteries and they would be right. Surely, with all the research they do----they would know.

Re: Battery desulfators
Well that must prove they work.
It is a conspiracy, the battery makers are working with the people in the black helicopters, and have aluminum foil on their windows. It is opression from THE MAN. |

Re: Battery desulfators
Funny thing happened. A couple hours after posting my conspiracy theory I got a reply from Trojan. Maybe they read this forum. In essence here it is:
We don't recommend the use of desulfators or any other external devices or chemicals. The only thing you need to do is charge the batteries appropriately and add distilled water as needed. Guess that ends it. (or does it?) |

Re: Battery desulfators
Desulfinating would help SLOW the breakdown process of the lead plates. Just how effective this would be is yet to be proven. So that is it in a nutshell... Maybe you could buy new batteries and a desulfanator and document it's use and the batteries use compare that to carts you have without the desuferthing and under the identical use then get back to us in 5 yrs with some solid controlled test results?
