Need some advice on a 36v to 48v conversion

I've got a 91 Club Car 36v. It's currently got 6 new 6v batteries, 4g wires thoughout, an alltrax 4845 controller, MJZ 200 solenoid, and stock ge motor. I've got 20'' tires on it now, and im fixing to put 23'' turf tires on it on new 12'' wheels. I'm anticipating a loss of most of the torque that I gained with the new controller. I want to do an upgrade to get more torque. Here's what I'm thinking

Option 1: Buy two more blem 6v batteries for $50 each from the local interstate battery dealer and putting them in the bag well. If I do this, I'll be at 48v on the stock motor, which I've heard helps alot. Now, I've got that MJZ 200 solenoid, which says on EVdrives' website will work with 48v. I've also been told that the old school f/r switches that I have will handle 48v. I've got the old 36v vglide 0-5 throttle. Do I have to replace my solenoid again, or my vglide, or my f/r switch? Should I just plug up two more batteries and see if something fries?

Option 2: Buy a 2 speed motor from EMP and run it on a 36v system for now. I can't afford to add batteries and a new motor right now.

Any advice would be appreciated!

A 48v conversion will up your speed and torque by about 30%.
The motor should have no problem dealing with 48v and should last for years.
If the solenoid is a 36v you can pull power for it by tapping the battery pack at 36v and it will be fine.
Everything else should be good to go, all you need to do is figure out how your going to charge 48v.

hey let me know if any and what changes if you do the swap over because i just bought the same cart for 700.00 and it looks good but its a dog my 4yr old daughter can run next to the cart in the grass and run by me. ive been looking for someway to get it faster and i would like to put a lift on it soon .

i know the first battery is pretty bad as a test today it was like at 9.8 on a 10 sec. load and battery 2 was at 11.2 but the other 4 are new and i got 2 new ones comin tomarrow. i had them checked because reverse was almost gone and its hooked to the first battery. iknow the new batteries won't make it faster but reverse should be good now.i hope.

I don't want to argue with this or rain on any body's parade...but there has been more than one 36v V-glide melted down by 48 volts.
The 48v conversion is a great way to more power and torque as said but, in order for it to be safe and reliable you must change out the speed controller and accelerator position indicator to equipment which is 48v rated. I hope this helps!
