99 cc skips throughout powerband
99 cc 48v. i replaced motor and controller a few months back. the old motor started skipping and eventually quit. so i got a reworked motor and new 500 amp controller that looks like a stock one that has been reproggrammed. setup was as smooth as silk at first, but now it is skipping again, and making a little bit of a rough noise. any ideas? batteries are new and fully charged.

Re: 99 cc skips throughout powerband
Is this a DS single solenoid cart, no Regen breaking ?
When U upgraded controlled did you also upgrade the Solenoid ? Sounds like it could be in the potentiometer being flaky ? Do you see hour wiring diagram in the stickies ? http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/electric-club-car/ |

Re: 99 cc skips throughout powerband
When you say "skips", is it an electrical on and off skip or a mechanical skip like the motor splines or collar is worn?
Axle hub if mechanical? Just throwing it out there. |

Re: 99 cc skips throughout powerband
feels like an electrical skip. i do not know much about carts but i have a v-glide and have been told if it was bad that it would most likely be at a certian throttle position rather than the whole pedal. it doesnt seem like a hub or anything like that. it started very lightly and is slowly getting worse if that helps. i think it is the motor, but i dont know how to tell for sure or what to look at if i take it off. just strange cause the motor is new

Re: 99 cc skips throughout powerband
thats about all thats not new on the cart, so maybe i should replace it. it also felt last night like it may not be getting all the power. when floored, it seemed like it had less torque? maybe v-glide is smoked and i am not getting all my pedal. any more suggestions? your input is appreciated

Have you done an ohms test on the potentiometer yet?
