Default solenoid question

I have a 97 regen with 2 solenoids. I have read in the forums that it is possible to remove the secondary solenoid ( the one with the 2 white wires and a coil). If I connect the white 6 gauge from motor A2 to controller, am I supposed to wire the other remaining 3 small wires on the solenoid together or leave them attached to the solenoid? Currently the cart has a delay in acceloration when the go pedal is pushed and am trying to troubleshoot the problem.

Remove positave battery cable,
swap solinoids
reattach battery cable, and see if problem remains the same.
Sounds like a throttle adjustment problem !

By swaping solenoids do you mean that I should switch wires from one to the other or should I replace the solenoid with a new one? The two do not look similar to each other so I thought I should ask. I included photos to help explain what I am talking about. I have put the cart up on stands. Now when I push the pedal the V-glide arm reaches the 3rd block before the wheels respond and the arm doesn't rest all the way back down to the 1st block
( 1/2 way between 1st and 2nd block)

Thanks for the v-glide info. My v-glide is fairly new and don't see any signs of problems. The motor is stock so I don't think I am over stressing it. Could my slow start problems be something to do with the controller?

1st adjust Vglide so it rest all the way back at the first block.

It could make it worse and something someone did before U got it to compensate for slow startup. Better to fix a problem rather than cover it up.

Let us know what happens ?

Let me get ahold of scottyb he's the geek , I think both solinoids are supposed to be the same ?

The problem you are having is not in the solenoids as I see it. One makes the cart go which it does.... and the other is for the regen brake system. You said the cart will move once the peddle reaches half throttle and that the v-glide does not return to zero? These carts are notorius for having gas PEDDLE trouble... the linkages are made of aluminum and steel parts which wear unevenly upon each other..... see if you can get the cart to accelerate properly by repairing the sloppy peddle assembly and adjusting linkage? the V-glide MUST make a full sweep of all of the copper lugs.... I hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I will try your suggestions and let you know if it helped. Hope you guys hang in there with me to get it resolved. I was going to order a series up grade kit from a site sponsor to give me more torque to help with the increased demand the 8" lift with 26" tires will create. If I do that, should I still keep the v-glide? or up grade that as well?
Thanks again!

....this was a 48v cart originally? If so, then the V-glide in it should be fine. Get the opinion of the sponsor and see what he recommends to make his kit work... then let us know

OK, I adjusted the linkage to reduce the slop ( not very far off ) but did not make a difference in the tire response. Is there any other adjustments to make with the v-glide? Here are some pics of both sides. Maybe the previous owner has the wires hooked up wrong or maybe this isn't a v glide setup
( I am new at this stuff ).
