Caroche parking brake problem
I just bought a Club Car Caroche that has the 3 pedals. The parking brake is supposed to release when you hit the gas, correct? It does, kind of...I have to pull up on the parking brake pedal as I'm pushing down on the gas. Is there a spring missing? I haven't gotten into it yet, just thought I'd ask to see what to look for before getting into it.
ps, The previous owner replaced a brake master, seems to stop well enough (actually will squak the tires if the brake is hit hard enough!) Thanks |

Re: Caroche parking brake problem
Yes, look for a weak or broken spring. However, also make sure that there is no binding of the pedal and that the mechanism is lubricated. My brake pedal would not fully retract. It would stop about 1/2 inch from full stroke. Another forum member suggested that I clean and lubricate it, and that fixed the problem.
