Default IQ won't go, Controller Problem?

My grandpa has a Club Car IQ 48 volt that wouldn't go. I put it up on jack stands and I could get it to go when I spun the wheel a little bit. Later on it would spin in reverse, but with the switch still in forward. It wouldn't do anything when switched to reverse, except you could hear the solenoid kick in briefly, but then clicked off. Also the precharge resitor was getting very hot when in forward, enough to scorch the plastic surrounding it. I'm thinking its the controller, but have zero experience with it. I'm looking for a more qualified opinion. thanks in advance

Get us some basic info ,

1.What if anything has changed on the cart when/just-before/After the problem started.
2. When was the last time the cart ran correctly ?
3.Voltage readings of the entire pack taker 30 minutes after charger shuts off, taken with a digital Volt meter.
