OMG another converter question !

Installing a converter in my '05 Precedent, and I got everything figured except the negative 12 volt wiring.

Presently, I have lights installed & they work off the "last" battery in the string. (The front battery under the passenger seat.)

So I'm gonna remove the blue wire for the lights off the + side of the battery and it will go to the +12 volt of the converter.

BUT I don't think I can leave the lighting -12 volts running thru the golf car negative. I'm thinking I need to remove the -12 volt lead from the under dash wiring bundle (or whever I can get to it) and run it to the converter.

So the car will have two negative circuits - one for the 48 volt operation and one for the 12 converter operation. Is this correct?

Yes they are two seperate circuits one is 48v and the other is 12v with it's own pos & neg from the 12v side of the converter

Just remember voltage runs from negitive to positive.

I remember that!

I can't remember what I did yesterday, but I do remember from my USAF days in electronics that current flows negative to positive. 'Course when I was in the USAF, airplanes had upper & lower wings (think biplane) LOL!
