Default Any issues unplugging the Regen part of the motor

I think I have seen this before but want some confirmation. I have very highspeed motor on my 01 regen, therefore I have the motor regen braking plugged in as it helps me slow down and aids in braking, but for a stock cart with stock motor the regen braking is a pain, is there any issues or risk of damaging anything if I unplug the regen sensor lead from the motor to the controller and leave it disconnected? Any issue with damanging the controller?

TIA.
Troy

Yea, I read that after I posted and did some searches, but the one thing that did not answer is if I simply unplug the motor from the controller regen harness will any damage be done to the controller or anything else if we simply unplug all three wires? Thanks, Troy

I don't think the IQ motors will run without being plugged in , or jumpered or something to fool the controller ?

It's a 1999 it's not IQ at all, it's the old 2 solenoid cart, and I have unplugged them regen plug and drove it and it works, but the concern, is there any danger of leaving it this way, i.e. will it damage the controller?

My personal cart is an 01 regen 2 so it does not have the 2 solenoids, and the previous owner ran it forever with out the motor plugged in, but it's a slightly different animal than the 2 solenoid regen 1s.

No not at all, just glad someone is responding, I think I will try the green wire trick and leave the plug connected. Appreciate any other input people have.
