Default just picked up my club car

I just went and got my club car. according to the serial it is a 1981. It's in great shape body wise. the steering has alot of play in it. i will have to look into that, and the motor isn't the peppiest thing i ever drove. again a winter project. All in all it wasn't a bad deal for $300.

Here goes nothin. it's gonna be a long winter.

Keep us updated. I'm working on a 1981 also. Same problem. I dismantled the front. But I cannot dismantle the steering wheel and column. Rare Ross box, I can't find it anywhere. Let me know how you fixed your play problem.

the easiest fix for those older carts with a worn box is to convert it to a newer steering system. in my opinion at least!

i will have to look into a conversion. I'm gonna tear into it probably starting next week. I;m a machinist, and am hoping that with my skill set i'll be able to fix it up. won't know until i get into it. will keep you posted.
