Charger won't come on
98 club car with obc and lester 48 volt charger. Charger will not come on. By passed relay and it works. Batt Pac at49.2 volts cart run but I have to charge with relay by passed I have CC manual done all the tests relaced relay and circuit breaker.still no charge. OBC very costly want to make sure that is the problem before I buy one any suggestion. I am on a very limited budget. manual says to take charger to someother cart to test if bad OBC no other available.

unfortunately it is most likely the obc. If the 3/8amp fuse is good make sure you have continuity from the charge plug sense lead to the fuse.

I have continuity fuse is Not blown it is ok

plug charger in hear relay click? yes meter wont move buzzin noise ? chech rectifier still ng check yello fuses if blown chang onboard computer only 2 part,s in charger that can go wrong -you can jump the relay out & USE TIMER i personally hav switch installed in charger to bypass relay so i can gas my batt,s weekly hope this helps the wizzard

How do you do that? what is cost involved. I don't feel like there nis anythng wrong with the charger because it works when yiu by pass relay. The only thing is you don't hear the clik. thanks for the info. all of you.

Have you tried to reset the OBC yet?. Its worth a shot.

Yes i have reset obc more than once. I have done evry test that the manual calls for and almost all suggestion that have been sent. I really would like to have a clear cut idea how to test the obc.I would like to take it out of the system completely and be able to charge my battereies without standing over them to make sure nothing goes wrong with out it costing me an arm and leg.i am sure there is a way to charge automatic.someone out there has done it before, I am sure thanks for all the suggestions.
