Thanks fo clarifying that. Yes, I am referring to the speed controller NOT the OBC. Today when I reconnected the negative battery cable, there was no spark, but in a minute or so, the resistor that Club car refers to as a "precharge resistor" became so hot it was melting the vinyl insulation off the wire. it is connected to the 2 wires on the big posts of the solenoid. any body got a guess on that one?

Im outa here , I do even own 1 single precedent manual.

Club Car sent a replacement controller and the resistor assembly that goes between the posts of the solenoid. changed them out and it is fixed now. club car dealer furnished them under warranty. Thanks for the help everyone. Gene

Replaced the controller and the resistor between the 2 big yellow wires on the solenoid,(it got dry roasted and club car calls it a precharge resistor),and it ran fine. Club Car warrantied them. Thanks for the suggestions people. Gene Davis
