Pack charge after 45 min disconnected from charger 51.4 volts individual bat volts ( batts 14 months old) 8.9 9.0 8.9 8.9 9.0 8.9 cleaned and inspected wires Cart will not move, sounds like it is trying. Neither in REV or FOR. jacking up rear end and fully depress accelerator, rear tires move very well and all batts read about 8.4 volts while accerator depressed Any suggestions or guidance as to problem would be appreciated. Can't figure out what I am over looking. Thanks Judge |

Re: Fully charge but no power
Is it regen or series, one solenoid or 2???I'm just as new on here as you but I just went thru what sounds the same on a 96 series and after help from forum members and the book replaced controller and fix.If you don't find anything obvious serious troubleshooting is in you future.Dave

Re: Fully charge but no power
A= DS Electric Golf Car, is the beginning of the serial number, and thus I would say it is a series 48 volt since the serial # is not a regen type number
If it is the controller how would I test it before buying the part? Is there a possibilty that I connceted the wires wrong to the controller when replacing the OBC? There was only 1 wiring post in which wires were replaced from the OBC so I don't see how I could have miswired it. Thanks Judge |

Re: Fully charge but no power
Are you saying that it ran BEFORE you replaced the obc? If not then probably a bad controller if the solenoid is clicking.

Re: Fully charge but no power
Yes it ran before the OBC was replaced.
However the OBC would heat up after a short while and stop charging. It now charges perfectly, as reflected with the charging #'s above but will not move. Is there a way to check if the controller is the problem? Voltage in and out? Thanks Judge |

Re: Fully charge but no power
If the wheels will run in F&Rn on jacks as I think you said in your first post that would indicate you have solenoid close and power. You need the the troubleshooting tree from the proper manual.Ifound mine on ebay for $44,its a good investment if you are going to keep this cart, even if your not, controllers are not cheap and you want to be right the first time.Scottyb tried to e-mail the guide to me but we were not sucessful, the book will show you how to measure input and output.Mine showed good on in and out but was low on capacitor voltage. Book didn't address low capacitor voltage but comon sence said if it was supposed to be 48v and it was 31v the problem was in the controller.Hope this helps,Dave

Re: Fully charge but no power
I don't think his problem is the same. His controller worked before he changed the obc. j4872, You need to triple check all of the wiring against the wiring diagram for the cart. Somewhere you have it wrong. The wiring diagram for that cart should be in the stickies at the top of this section.....
