Default pedal problems

Hey guys my name is Chas and I have just come across a 1980 Club Car Caroche. This thing works nicely now that I just replaced all of the 5 solenoids. I am having an issue with the pedals though. Accelerator pedal: fine. However when I hit the brakes, it seems as if the gas pedal was binding with the brake pedal. In other words when I hit the brakes I actuate the throttle as well and I know that isn't right. How can I cure this problem?

No big deal, you need to do some maintenance under the floor.
See if you have a floor plate under the mat you can remove to access the pedal mounting area. You need to take it apart and clean and grease the pivot bolts on both pedals.

I have a 99 club car and while I know its not the same I can say that once you get under there and start messing with it you will figure it out. I just had to replace a few parts that I easily got at a local dealer.

The 1980 caroche cart that I am working on for a friend has the pedals swinging from under the front dash. the 2 brake pedals on it all go down together and lock, I have to mash the accelerator to get the brake pedal to come back up.

I don't mind mashing the accellerator to unlock the brakes, I just don't like the motor trying to pull when I push the brakes.
