Default Can I get a decent Club Car for under $2500

I am looking to purchase a Club Car and would like to find a decent one for under $2500. What can I expect to get for this amount?

Do you want a DS model or Precedent model, lift, rear-seat,tires and rims, what year model, how will you use mostly, 36 or 48 volt? These are just a few questions you will have to ask yourself. Hope this might help you along and give some ideas as what you can expect when you start shopping. That is the way us rednecks from SC think!

Definitely a rear seat and probably 48v I like the looks of a precedent but haven't decided I am at the very beginning of this process. What should I look out for?

But being a redneck from SC if it don't have a lift and some mudders when I buy it, it will as soon as I can get it home and in the shop. lol

make sure it is non-resistor cart, make sure it is after 1996 , stay with 48 Volts and make sure batteries are not older than 3 years and well maintained.

and yes (stock) $2,500 is attainable.

I agree with Gary on year and resistors. Think you will pay more for accessories for Precedent. Personally, if going with CC I would rather have 6-8 volts rather than the 4-12 volts. That is what my wife's buggie has, she likes a CC and I like an EZGO, and they are both good carts wouldn't turn around for the difference! Hope this might help a little! Good Luck!

I had the choice of the EZ GO I got for 2400.00 or a 2005 CC for 2100.00, so yes, you can find them. Both are/were in good shape. I chose the 2007 mainly to get the newer battery pack. I knew neither was going to "look" stock for very long.

Thanks for the input!!!! THe search has begun. I am open to any other pointers you may have to help with the selection. Y'all have a lot more experience with these buggies than me. I appreciate all of your input.

PS: warning if you are going to be around much salt, the CC 100% alunimum chassis
will outlast anyones steel chasis.

Once again I agree with Garry to a certain point; he is right about chassis, but battery acid will eat out trays just as quick as steel. Steering components, shocks etc. are bolted to aluminum, standard rims from factory are steel and aluminum from corrosion will oxidize. If you go to a coastal area,I think you will see just as many older EZGO carts as the Clubcars. If you are going to use your buggy for serious off-road ventures, the aluminum chassis is not as strong as the steel, this is only common sense. Neither one of these buggies are no better than the way the owner keeps them serviced! As I stated before, my wife and I have one of each! Hope I didn't step on any toes or start a CHEVY- FORD argument, this is my personal opinion! Good luck on your decision! Thanks!
