Default 95 ds 48v club car, no go

New to the forum...... but i have a 1995 club car that has the pot box under the cart(not the v-glide thing). i have changed controller twice now, bypassed the obc, solinoid is good but jumped it, disassembled f/r switch and sanded it all and cleaned it. if i let it sit for about ten mins. with the wheels jacked up it will run for about 15 sec. and slowly die. i can still here where the cart is trying to move but it just slows right down and eventually stops. if i set it on the ground it will only run a few feet. i have tested the motor with a low voltage check and worked great. the only thing i haven't checked is the pot. i don't know how to check these. any help guys would be great

You check the pot with the Digital Volt meter set to OHMS
It should run fro 0 Ohms to 5,000 okms with a gradual change as the peddle gets depressed.

Put the ohm meter across the 2 wires which go into the controller !

The pot is a Continuously variable poteniometer,Garry knows a bunch more than I do,Icould not get standard reading o to 5k as you would with a V-glide type pot,the book it only be tested with club cars majic little box.I also says at rest Ohms can be 0-300 and full throttle 5500,full operation 4600 to 7000 range.your resistance will not be smooth as it would be on a v-glide type pot,the ohm meter will move back and forth alot as you depress the pedal.hope this helps.Dave
