Default Precedent steering issues

Ok, so I had a lot of rattling coming from somewhere in the steering while riding off road. I narrowed it down to the steering box. I cut the bands that keep everything secure and pulled the black boot back so I could see what's going on in there. The movement I'm hearing and feeling is inside the steering box. I was hoping I could just replace the knuckle or the inner tie rods but they are ok. I even took the big bolt on the front off to see inside but that didn't help much. Is my only option to replace the steering box? I'm finding them in the $200+ price range!

Well, I found out today that the big nut that I took loose was actually two in one. In the center of the steering box is a huge allen nut which when turned counter clockwise will actually put more tension on the worm gears inside and also removes the play in the steering box. If you tighten it too much it will put too much tension on the steering shaft which makes it difficult to turn the steering wheel. The outer part of the allen nut is about a 1 1/2 or so which keeps the allen nut in place. The allen nut can only be adjusted once the 1 1/2 in nut has been loosened. I hope this helps someone because I had to work for this one.
