8 6v batteries, how to make it a 36v pack.
OK. This is my project for today since it is raining.
I want to upgrade to 48v's here in the future. I need new batteries for my cart as is. I can get my hands on some t 105 seconds for 60 bucks a battery. SO.... I am trying to make a 36v pack out of 8 6v batteries. I was thinking of running two marine batteries for my amp and radio. Then I was thinking well these 6v's are so cheap and have a way better ah rating than the marine batteries. Then I thought why not wire them in to the system and use the one 36v charger and just get a 12v converter for the electronics. So if anyone wants to help me draw up a way to wire this in give me some ideas. Don't worry about the converter for now. Just help me wire this puppy to run. |

Ok. the big blue box is the actual battery tray in the cart. The red box represents the bag well. So i am pretty sure this only makes a 36v pack. But I am not sure I have the parallel batteries wired correctly. Gmorrison where are ya brother. |

6 batts in series and the 2 additional ones in parralell in the middle fo the pack.... but you better be monitoring the charging and be prepared to charge the extras with a 12v charger when needed I got work to do You draw it and we will tell you if it will work
Oh..... you did draw it? How come I can't make sense of all that scribble? What did you use an etch-a-sketch ! ???? |

scotty get the napkin with the coffee stain on it next time. hahaha.
yours looks good too. do you understand my resasoning on this. I can get a deal on 8 6v's but when I upgrade to 48v I want them all to be the same "age". So i am trying to run them all while I have just the 36v cart. |
