Year Changes for Club Car DS
What physical changes are there to the cart in the different years of the club car ds model?
Could you put a roof on a 1988 electric cart that came off a 2003 gas club car with out any problems? Are the frames the same? I know under the seat gas and electric club cars are in fact different, but are the dimensions for mouting a roof the same between the new and old style ds carts? What years did the seat backs and roofs change? Do all newer villager ds models(ex. 2004) use the old style split seat backs? |

They went to the new style roof mid year 2000. They will bolt right on an older cart if you have all the black frame work as will the one piece seat back. Not up on villagers. I did put a new style roof and body on an 88 cc electric i had.

I had an 89 that I put everything new style on including the body, steering wheel, seats, roof, bumpers, etc. You couldn't tell the difference between it and an 03 when done.... just paint the glove boxes black
