Default 2002 Club Car with IQ, no go.

Ok, here is the problem: 2002 Club Car 48V with IQ controller. Cart "clicks" and does not move. Solenoid tested good, all battery connections good, MCOR tested good. I have tried another known good solenoid and controller.

I'm thinking either the Sepex motor is bad or OBC. Customer complained the cart made a bang/pop noise and stopped working. OBC still controls the charger just fine and the inhibit seems to work. How do I test a Sepex motor?

Here you go. Sepex motor test. And if you end up needing a motor they also rebuild them. http://www.empinc.biz/tech_support.p...ntroller_shunt

The IQ's as the name implies are supposidly self diagnosing.
Take it to a cart dealer with the Diag program and see what it says is failing .

Good luck !

There are not local dealers around here... Closest is in Las Vegas. Can I buy this diag program?

Oh man, the dreaded IQ carts!? I think you can buy a cart cheaper than YOU CAN BUY THE HAND HELD DIOGNASTIC COMPUTER..... When i had my IQ nightmare cart we took it to the dealer a couple of times to have it 'read'.... each time it came up BS (frame ground or ? _over voltage?) ..... eventually we replaced the 48v side of the wiring harness and it ran. IT was a very frustrating process ..... I hate IQ carts

SORRY! What was the question?

The tool is called an IQDM and The continuity test would probably be your cheaper option... Unless you are going to work on IQ or Excel carts for about 265 days a year. With the wiring disconnected check continuity across your A's then check between your F'S. After that check them to a ground. Good luck
