Default need suggestions on buying used club car

I have a couple club cars for sale around me, and I was just looking for suggestions. I know one is a 2001 ds regen, and the other has this seriel #: aa0112000105. If I read the seriel # correctly, this means a ds non-regen model?

My plan is to outfit the rig for hunting and trail riding. I've read the regen model has less options for upgrading, so would the second cart be better for what I'm looking for?

Thanks

Welcome to BGW

In my opinion the best carts for upgrading are series carts.

Starts with a Single "A" and then nembers after that. It will be a DS model. Those are the standard club cars.

The # I was given started with "aa". Is this a series cart? Just wanting to be sure before I drop $1200 on a cart. Thanks

Dont mind at all. I lucked out I think. I got mine for $1400 off of Craigs. It originally went for $2100 then $1800 then a month went buy and I called back and made offer. All the while I kept looking and found some other deals but they didnt pan out as I overslept ... The best part of my cart was the new T875's (well one year old)! The previous owner had the cart shop put new batts in while planning to use the cart more with the business but it didnt work out for him. So she sat a year and I scooped her up.

I would stay away from the regen as you already know. I would offer the guy $700 for the AA01 and emphasize the batteries. Compromise with him no more than 1K. So figure anywhere from $15 -$18 you got your cart and new batteries. I think thats fair in our current environment. Also you dont know if that thing runs well or has multiple other issues due to the low batteries or not. Hopefully you can at least scoot it around a bit to get an idea. Leave him your number if he wants to think about it,etc. Either way there will be other deals if it dont work out so try to be as patient as you can. That was hard for me...

This is a really good site. I spent numerous hours here and knew exactly what I wanted which was : 48V, CC, no regen, no IQ (like me) (even though I have an OBC), no front brakes, etc. Quiet and stealthy with all my mod options open is all I care about. Most of my goodies will be here by 12/01. I got the Camoclad max advantage 4 for the scheme. I cant wait! Ill post pics once it stops looking like a golf cart..

Good luck and keep the powder dry!
