96 club car wont move
I have a 96 club car, new batteries 08, drove fine for a year. let it sit for a few weeks and now it wont move f/r. replaced solenoid after jumping the old one, that made it move though and so does the new one only after jumping. takes a charge! all the battery wires are in great shape. this is a vglide changed that with a old one I had (not sure if was good)! any ideas?

Re: 96 club car wont move
It sounds like the original trouble was and still is with the solenoid activation circuit ..... Check the micro-switches at the F&R

Re: 96 club car wont move
Its gotta be something simple, this cart never gave me trouble. Maybe my old parts are bad? There has to be a way to check them?

Re: 96 club car wont move
THe micro-switch is a simple off/on switch. You test it for continuity on and no continuity off

Re: 96 club car wont move
@ radicalgolfcarts not sure if it is, I never noticed a click or what not before, if thats what im looking for. to me it sounds the same way it always did. But then again I wasnt trouble shooting a working cart. I think the only click or sound im hearing is the micro swith.

Re: 96 club car wont move
You will be able to hear the difference between the micro and the solenoid. The only reason I ask, is that if your solenoid is not engaging then its a problem before your solenoid, and if it is then its after the solenoid!! Just some food for thought!!!!

Re: 96 club car wont move
Sounds like the micro or the solenoid. Just because it clicks doesn't always mean its good either. Do you own a volt/ohm meter. If not, your going to need one to do any troubleshooting.
