06 Precedent Dash

I'm new to the forum so let me begin by saying hello to everyone.

I have a 2006 Precedent and want to mount a bracket on the dash to hold my heater. I haven't taken anything apart yet so I thought I'd ask first. Right below the spare golf ball holder is a panel cover that appears to be held on by two screws. I'm wondering what's behind this panel and if it is sufficiently strong enough to support the weight of a holder, gas bottle and heater if I drill through the cover. Has anyone had any experience that will help?

Sleeves that mount in your cupholders are sold to hold the Coleman CartCat heaters. I don't think there is any need to modify it any.

I have the cup type holder. I was looking for a more "permanent" type mount. Thanks.
