Default Anyone running a D& D ES-58 motor please post results

I am thinking of running the D&D ES-58 motor in my 1991 Club Car DS at 48 volt with All Trax AXE 650 amp controller. The cart has a 6" Jake's lift and 23" tires. I was told I could expect 18 to 20 MPH.

If you are using this motor please post your setup, including what gears (stock or other) and oyur results (top speed, torque, etc.). I am just looking for some feedback on this motor before pulling the trigger. THANKS!!!

I have the same setup

alltrax 650
d&d ES-58

tops out at about 22 to 25 on a long straight

and wheelies....

whats neat is that this video was taken after me and the girls rode into and around town. aprox 12 miles round trip

and it would still pull the front wheels off the ground

and just so you know, put a set of heavy duty leaf springs on your list
because you will bend the stock ones into a Z....lol...or break them

Very Cool redriderno22!!!
Can you tell me what size tires you are running? I'm going with 23" on 12" ITP rims. Thanks for the tip about the leaf springs. I already have heavy duty 4 leafs installed on the rear, so ishould be good to go. What list did you use? I'm going with the Jake's 6" spindle lift with their front disc brake kit. I hope I get 22 MPH like you did. What year is your Club Car? Do you know the gear ratio? I was told 12.44 to 1 (stock). Thanks!!!
