Default Club Car ds intermittent stopping/starting

I have a 2001 electric club car serial number AC0140-078186 with all new batteries and tight cables. Shortly after battery replacement, the cart had the intermittent issue that on initial acceleration it goes and then quits. If I let off the accelerator and re apply slowly, it will start again. I've jiggled the For/Rev switch but nothing changed. Sometimes the cart won't move at all, but if you let off the accelerator and redepress, the cart will move a short while. I do hear a click when I depress accelerator. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, Richard

I had a similar problem with the same year and had to replace the controller. The motor, particularly the brushes could be an issue, but from "limited" experience I am guessing the controller. Use clamps and meter to check voltage output to motor while this is going on.

You should check the MCOR output to the controller 1st.

I agree with Scottyb, but could not think of the correct name of it. It is up under the passenger side of the cart. If I can figure out where I put it will post instructions.

Sorry these aren't any larger. Save them to your computer and then enlarge them when you view em!
