Default 6 8 volt batteries in a 36 volt cart

I am planning on doing the conversion on my 36 volt club car (94 model). In the mean time I need to get batteries. My question is would it last a couple of months of pulling a 3600 lb. car around the race track without burning to the ground? Could it hurt the new batteries? What would go first?

IN 94 CC made resistor coil and solid state controller carts. Towing you will definitely melt something in each one of these systems the first time out Do not try it. Do it all the way or leave it alone.... the towing is the key

Which system do you have?

I would say it is resistor coils. looks like a moonshine still back behind the batteries.
