Default DS with Intermittent Power and Slows up hills

I have a 1998 48V Club Car DS that started to go fast/slow/fast, etc and also slows down going up hills now. I checked the batteries, changing 1 out, and cleaned the V-Glide contacts, but no improvement....now I am thinking of changing the solenoid and cleaning the motor contacts...any other thoughts?????

The car runs so why would you think the solenoid is bad or anything but the batteries? you have a bad set of batteries. If you put a new battery in with old ones the old ones will draw the life out of the new one.

Could be bad batteries, MCOR, throttle linkage under cart, controller, or something else. Is this a new vehicle for you? Old cart with new problem?

Sorry, I guess it is called a multi-step potentiometer in this model year. The resistance output at the controller terminals is eratic (installed), but when I removed it the resistance seems to be within specs....?????

I would suspect the poorly designed CC throttle peddle actuation. reinstall it and see what you have for travel? Matbe as simple as fixing the throttle peddle assembly & linkage

Thanks...will do. I also hear an hissing (arcing?) noise from the passenger side wheel area. Does this possibly indicate dirty brushes on the motor?
