Question Is a 1997 CC worth rebuilding??

Hi Folks;
I am new here but I have been reading the site for awhile. I am considering rebuilding the cart from the ground up. Is there anything about a 97 ds car that I should take in consideration before spending the big bucks?? I believe it is a series car as the FNR is beside my knee. I don't recall seeing a run/tow switch.

Clear as mud

thanx, nod

Hi Scott,
I will be using it on flat asphalt, just cruising. Some bumping through some trails at a slow speed. I am looking at a D&D combo to power the car. A little extra speed is a good thing

You'll have fun rebuilding and making it the way you want!

Here are some pic's of a 91 that I have been working on for years. It was just a good ol'e cart that I bought and it was all stock. Can't find the stock pic's, but just remove the lift & tires in the first pic & you get the idea.

They become a fun and expensive hobby.100_0086.jpg

Have a 97 and happy as a pig in slop with it. Does 25 on gps. Do you have the rocker switch or the toggle switch? Only issue I have had with it was the OBC, and batteries.

The 97 clubs are good all around cars. Is it 36 or 48 volt?

I got a 97 48v. She needs some more torque though. D&d is what it will get when I decide to do it.

ive got a 96 that i built up from the ground up and its great. CC didnt really change anything on the chassis for a long time (maybe a few minor things but nothing really to worry about). the only visible changes to the carts are the seats and the roof and the roof supports. if you can get the cart at a good deal, id be all over it!!
