Default Jake's 6" spindle lift on Club Car DS

I am going to be putting a Jake's 6" spindle lift on my 1991 Club Car DS. I know that the drop spindles widen the front stance on the Club Car and I want to add wheel spacers in the back to match the spread of the front wheels. Can anyone tell me how much the Jake's 6" spindle add to the width of the cart over the stock spindles? I am guessing they probably add 1.5" per side over the stock spindles. I want the rear tires and the front tires to have the same stance. Any help is greatly Appreciated.

I think the best way to find out this is to contact Jakes; they have a toll-free and they can probably answer any questions as to model-year, lift kit, etc. Hope this might help you out!

Thanks ssdane for your reply. I was just hoping to get this info sooner than Monday. I thought maybe someone with a Jake's kit would be able to tell me. I am looking at purchasing some spacers and was hoping to order them before Monday, but I can't without this info first.

I can not say on a club car but on an EZGO it does move the front wheels forward about 1.5 inches and out about 1.5 - 2.0 inches which I have thought it gives a little better ride. I believe you could go with 2" wheel spacers and be pretty close. I am not sure you will ever get them exact all the way around but it will add some stability to what you are doing,. Just my 2 cents.

Hey impala,
I too, wanted an "even" tire stance,
With my stock spindles, I put 2" spacers on the front to bring my tires out to match the back width,
But, had some rubbing issues...

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...-steering.html

About a year and a half ago, I put on a Jake's 3" spindle lift, with the 2" spacers,
and the the 2" spacers made it look "goofy"... I then, ordered some 1" spacers,
and it helped quite a bit, they're still not "even" but, IMO were "close enough"!

I tried to sell my 2" spacers at the campground...
but, the 3 people that wanted them, didn't want to fork out the cash,

I then, bought a set of 25" x 12" rims and tires, and decided to put the 2"er's on the back,
(rather then letting them collect dust)

Now... I really don't care if the front and the rear widths match!
I'm pretty happy with the way my cart sits! (for now... anyways!)

I don't have any recent pics, or measurements for you,
But, 1" (or 1 1/2" max) spacers on front should do just fine!

Thanks Lockman1. I don't want spacers on the front, just the rear. When you put a drop spindle kit on a cart it moves the wheels out from the cart. I want to match that on the rear of the cart with spacers because the lift in the back does not change the tire stance. We just had a case of mis-communication.

In that case... you don't need spacers at all! unless your looking for the "Rat Rod" look!
Stock... Club Car's rear is about 4 to 6" wider then the front,
With your spindle lift on... the front definitely won't be wider then the rear!
(If that's what your worried about!)

I assumed that the front and rear were equal to start with. I would have measured myself except my cart is in pieces right now. I will wait and measure it when the lift kit is on and go from there. Thanks for your replies.
