Default 2001 Club Car Charger Problem

I have a 2001 club car and am having a problem with the charger. It will not shut off as it should.
Any Suggestions.

If the charger has run for 10-12 hours, I would suspect 1 or more bad batteries or a bad charge circuit connection

Sorry about the duplicate...It did not show up in the my threads area.

The batteries are all new. I had the same problem with my old batteries (original 2001s).

Can you elaborate on the bad charge circuit connection?
Thanks

Has someone worked on the charger and bypassed something?

Do you have a voltmeter? Can you verify that the battery pack voltage increases when the charger is on?

I will get a voltmeter and report back.

In the mean time...the cart has been performing well. I have been using the new batteries for about threem months. I have driven it well over fifteen miles on a full charge and still had power, but I have to simply unplug the charger when it hits about 2-3 amps.

What do I need to look for to tell if something is bypassed?

Thanks

The first 20 use & recharge cycles are CRITICAL to properly break in the battery pack..... You need to figure this out fast or your battery's useful life may be comprimised.... at 2-3 amps the charger is trying to level the battery's charge or equalize them all. What is the voltage and specific gravity of all batteries ?

And what is the longest time you have left the charger on the Batteries ?

Check your charger with another cart. I bet that it is your OBC!! 9 out of 10 times that people come into the shop with a "chager problem" then it is the OBC.

On Board Computer!
