Default allsports a-arm suspension mods

hey guys,
i just installed a new allsports a arm 6 inch lift on my 95 cc with 22in all trails. The ride seems equally as rough as before and even by jumping up and down on the cart, i'm barely getting any travel. It works on a 2 pack leaf spring and i was wondering if anybody has ever removed the shorter top spring from the pack and if it made any difference? i am using my same stock shocks which seem to function fine but i guess that could be the problem as well. Tires are set at 5 PSI per the Manufacturer. any ideas?

Unfortunately, that isn't a "real" A Arm kit. It will not act like a true A Arm with independent suspension. It really isn't going to feel much different that the stock setup, since it uses a leaf spring for support / suspension.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice lift kit, but that's really all it is.

This is what a "true" A Arm looks like, notice the independent arms and the individual shocks - no shared leaf spring. Your "travel" is limited to the flexability of the leafspring. Removing / modifying / changing it will only cause breakage.

thanks for the replys, my only reason for thinking about removing one of the leafs is that they are both the same size as the stock spring so i figureed it could handle it. This baby is rough!

Lets call the kettle black here. That is not an A Arm lift It may have an A arm in it but the suspension is still the stock leaf spring(s) That may actually be trickery as applies to sales marketing

THis is an A Arm from Strech

Yea - Mine (Terra Toys) or Scotty's (Strech). They are the only LONG TRAVEL A Arm kits out there, other than the Jakes kits...

Can someone please educate me here? I am about to purchase an Allsports A-Arm SuperSports lift. Looking at the lift and instructions, it does not appear that it uses the stock leaf spring. Is this true or untrue? I am not necessarily looking for the long travel kits, but don't want to be going back with the same thing I have either.
