What are the normal speeds for speed codes 1,2,3 and 4 for an IQ? Is it possible the speed sensor is bad? I did not replace it after I was told my controller was blowing them. I hate to pay $150 for a speed sensor when a whole high speed motor with sensor is $225.
Did you call the folks I mentioned in the previous post and discuss this with them? Doesn't sound like it!

Here is what you just asked for:

Approximate values:

Speed Code 1 = 8 Mph
Speed Code 2 = 11 Mph
Speed Code 3 = 14.7 Mph
Speed Code 4 = 19.7 Mph

All the above are with stock tires and Speed Code 1-3 are free. Speed Code 4 has to be purchased through a CC dealer and ordered for your specific Controller, (based on itís serial number.)

What it seems like is that your first controller was set at Code 1 and the one you just purchased is set at Code 3. It also sounds like the High Speed Motor you purchased isnít a high speed motor or didn't have the sensor bypassed to give you the higher speeds.

Who did you buy this High Speed Motor from?

It was off Ebay. I have the motor builders number and he has been more than helpful, even sent me a new speed sensor to try at one point. He is more than willing to take it back and send another he just said he has had very few problems with his motors and encouraged me to make sure it was the motor before I sent it back to him. I was waiting to call Plumquick until last resort as I can only assume they prefer not to be bothered by other peoples problems. But remember as I stated in the original post CC set it from code 1 to 3 while I waited and it made no difference at all but as soon as I install a new controller it is faster.

My guess is that the first controller was bad as well as "high speed" motor does not have sensor bypassed? What do you think?

Here is the latest. The guy that built the motor volunteered to send me another which is even an upgrade just asking that I return the one I have now. I will let you all know in a few days. Thanks for the help!

That was good of him! Good luck and let us know what the results are with the new one coming!

There can be different scenarios but the best will be that the new rebuilt motor on it's way makes your cart FLY with your current replaced controller and you're a happy camper with those results!

Like I said this guy has been really flexible. I think he builds them and someone else sells them because he is not who I bought it from. He stated they had made vast improvements since the model I received was rebuilt and that I should get around 28 MPH. I will let you know. Thanks again.

$215.00 and weeks of headaches trying to figure out what appeared to be a controller issue.

I installed the new motor and put on new low profile 10" tires and wheels. I hit 30.1 MPH once but, it is consistently 27-28 MPH with the stock controller. I will let you guys know if this motor builder wants his info out there or not. I have never received this kind of customer service even from a store front.
