Default whining grinding noise 96DS

Have a 96 DS CC. When coasting down hill a whining, grinding noise ( hard to describe) comes out of the rear end. Doesn`t do it under power or at lower speeds, just at higher speeds and coasting down a slight or large incline.
Whats your thoughts. Motor or rear end gears?

Yes its on the opposite end and also the female spline on the motor has a fiber bushing in iy that goes bad,you will be able to tell when you take the motor out.

I'm starting to think that a "sticky" needs to be made about the Bumper/Guide ring!

CARTTRADER have you checked the differential for metal in oil? You may have a cart that was not serviced correctly and run dry on lub and damaged bearings or gears in Differential rather than motor?? Just a thought????

Good point. No haven`t checked that yet. Actually haven`t received cart as yet. Its supposed to be delivered today. I`m hoping for just a bearing issue. I`ll check that when it gets here.
