Throttle problem
I have a 2001 Club Car DS. When the weather gets cold the throttle does not respond well. Sometimes I need to pump the throttle just to get the cart to move. Once the outside temperature gets back to about 60% it works fine again. Any idea what might be the problem?

Re: Throttle problem
Sounds like the mcor switch is going bad.

Re: Throttle problem
Can you tell me what and where that is? I am thinking it may be in the black box on the passenger side of the cart underneath??

Re: Throttle problem
Thanks Garry.
Is there a test I can do for the mcor other than changeing it out? My cart also acts like the batteries are at a low state when this problem shows up even though I know they are at full charge with good cables. |

Re: Throttle problem
It could be a lot of things, does it sit outside in cold weather? your solenoid might be getting weak. That MCOR switch is about 200.00 bucks.Does it run ok when you get it going, throttle up and down like it should? You know after you drive it around for awhile?

Re: Throttle problem
It runs great throttle up at first. When I did a steep hill yesterday it started acting up again. Then it almost seemed like the charge was low even though I know I had a full charge. Almost acts like I have a bad cable. I just replaced a burnt out F/R switch last week and replaced some cable ends. That seemed to help.

Re: Throttle problem
Is it jumping and snatching or is it just maybe skipping a speed?

Re: Throttle problem
I am running a 10 HP Advancd DC Black Motor, upgraded #6 cables, Upgraded high amp controller, Trojan T-890 8 volt batteries and a heavy duty F/R switch. I just replaced the heavy duty F/R switch since it failed a few weeks ago. That is also when I replaced some cable ends that looked corroded.
