Default Motor and Controller

I finally bit the bullet and ordered a new motor and controller for my lynx. I realized after my first real off road adventure that the stock motor and controller wouldnt pull the cart through any mud. So I called D&D and talked to vic who was a super nice guy and suggested the ES-9F-50 motor with a 500 amp alltrax. He said that would do what I wanted it too and I'm sure it will. I just wanted to see what you guys are running in your hunting buggies? I also ordered the intellilock locking rear diff from my club car dealer and will be installing that with the motor and controller. How capible do you guys think this cart will be now?

Also nice to see another lynx owner! To be such nice carts I don't see alot of people talking about them. Thanks No No! I'm sure it is gonna be sick with the new motor and controller not to mention being able to put it to the ground with the locker. I will try to take some pictures of the whole install. I've already done the battery cables in 4ga and I have a roll of #4 welding cable to do the rest. Just waiting on parts. I'm worse than a kid on Christmas morning waking up at 3 too see if Santa has came!

What kind of locker do you have? If it's the BU unit, I really hope it holds up for you. The plates crack on a lot of them.

nope its not a bu they don't make one for the Graziano. I found out that Club Car started making a Intellilock automatic locking differential. I figured since it was club car it should be pretty good quality.

Is "Intellilock" like an automatic locking "Posi" rear end?

Yes, it's just a locking differential. I *think* it works similarly to an Eaton G80 locker.

I hope this thing isn't like the G-bomb lol. The G-80 was known for gernading hence the nick name "G-bomb" I recently had the one in my Z-71 replaced with Eaton's Posi unit and it is great, it locks up fast, smooth and quiet. But yes it does work just like a limited slip unit, once it senses the main drive wheel slip it locks the other up and turns your one tire fire into a duel wheel squeal. Well maybe not on a golf cart
