Default Need Longer Shocks

I was just putting on the 4 leaf rear springs. Went to put on bottom plate and discovered that the shock won't extend far enough to reach top mount. Looked on the web and everything I found was stock length. Does anyone sell longer shocks? you would think they would with all the leaf springs and lift kit upgrades. Mine is a 1983 Club Car DS electric no lift

Check these and see if they'll work.

Here is what I did for about $2.00. Went, and got 2 bolt to bolt nuts (long nuts) washers to get center shock, and a bolt long enough to go into the nut. This is metric thread so need to go where they have metric bolts.

Thanks for the replys. I'll go to the stores tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Asearch sain 76 chevette shocks will work. I would rather have a new shock than the stud extensions. Seems like a "weak link" to me. But it would be a cheap fix.

I'm with you on the shock extensions, that's why I had the link for the shocks.

Do you guys even think you will ever need the shocks with heavy duty leafs? Hell I can load up the cart with everything and not even bend the leafs. Don't you think the shocks are about usless at that point??? But if you want shock extenders can be picked up at almost any auto store.

shocks do not hold weight, they stabilize the bounce and control body roll
