Re: Diff Fill Point
On the driver's side you will find a drain plug near the bottom and a fill hole about half way up the same side in the rear . Fill with 30w motor oil until it flows back out of the fill hole

Re: Diff Fill Point
Changed the oil yesterday and get up this morning to notice a pool of oil under the rear passenger side wheel. I think its coming out from the outer oil seal.
The part is inexpensive about $10 but is it hard to replace. |

Re: Diff Fill Point
Not good what weight did you use ?
should be around 22 OZ. of 30 WT. Was it pretty much empty when you started ? had it been leaking before ? |

Re: Diff Fill Point
Is it hard to do, ive already tried getting the C clip out to no avail. Read somewhere scottyb said only buy snapon snap ring pliers, mine are some cheap $10 ones from advanced auto. Found an exploded view of the rear axle is the seal behind the bearing. Doesnt quite seem correct because on my mowers its infront of the bearing

Re: Diff Fill Point
You have done your reseach That's better than half the people. My cheap snap ring pliers won't do it .... THe snapon 90* pliers will do it. And Yes the seal is on the pumpkin side of the sealed bearing
