Default Battery Fill Systems - Trojan Hydrolink versus ...

I really do try to search before I ask stuff , but I do not find a thread talking about folks expediences with watering systems.

I want a watering system as I now have 8-6v T105s in my Club Car and and it is impractical to water the two new ones in front of the motor.

Local Trojan battery dealer wants $250 for Hydrolink, ouch. Wondering if folks have bought other systems. I would even be interested in a kit where I only did the back two batteries if the cost made sense.

For a golf course or business with 50+ carts they are great. I laughed when Trojan came out with that last year and asked if I wanted to carry it.

I think for $250.00, I could pop off the caps and add water myself - They are a bit overkill for the individual consumer/.. IMO - of course

Popping off the caps yourself allows you to view each cell individually which can be a benefit for discovering a possible battery problem down the road. It also makes sure you are looking at each battery every so often. Just purchase a battery water fill bottle for a few bucks

I agree with the replies...... on every cart I have owned so far, but....

In this case the cart body is in the way. I can clean the back two batteries, but I cannot fill them without inventing something or modifying the body, so I am looking for a reliable and trustworthy filling system options.

Oh - you didn't mention that there was going to be a clearance / access issue. That changes the whole deal!

Mine too...

Can you at least see the cells, even with the use of a mirror? If yes then you can use a hand pump to fill those cells. Is this a custom setup configuration you have that doesn't allow you to see the batteries? Can it be modified with a flip up cover over those batteries?

I agree. When I wrote the post it seemed very clear to me, but readling it again, it would only be clear if you saw my cart

Cut the cross brace and move it back.
Cut the fiberglass out and make a solid color Plexiglas access panel to cover it.
