Default What kind of improvement to expect from wire upgrade?

I have posted a few questions about upgrading to 4g from stock. I was just wondering how noticeable will this be? I'm guessing it will shine in high load situations?

I started a rebuild on an '85 Club Car last summer. First thing I did was new batteries and new 4g cables. The differance was noticeable by my WIFE! Of course most of the replaced cables were in terrible condition, so, it's all relative. It's not so much better performance as it is insuring that ALL the energy is being transfered in the most efficient manner.

I have been very happy with my carts performance so far! I get an 18mph top speed (GPS) and I can climb hills much steeper than I ever would have thought. If I am alone. (250+lbs) the wheels will NOT stop spinning regardless of slope. I have replaced some of my cables, but I am sure some are 23 years old... and reflect it. If I gain any torque, I will be happy. My worst cable (ironically is between battery 5-6)... so any other replaced cables are a waste. I will be doing the upgrade probably this week.. I will keep you posted.

Why would you say that? Obviously I haven't changed them yet, so I don't know the answer to the question... hence wanting the answer=not rhetorical??? maybe I don't understand.

i'm sorry if i'm being a wiener tonight, but i have to ask: if you plan on doing it anyway, why would you bother to ask? why not just do it and then review the results? i mean has anyone here ever heard of internal monologue? or does thought automatically convert to typing? kinda like diarrhea of the fingers?

I'm sorry. I thought this was a forum were people with little experience (Me) ask questions from people with experience (you) without being treated like they are an idiot. I do plan on doing it, because I believe my old cart could use new wires, however if I took too much of your precious time reading my useless (vomit) of a thread I am sorry. I was just curious what I can expect when I'm done. Thanks for your help on this issue!
