OK,,,here they are if I've done everything correct. The hygrometer has a chart that tells you to add or subtract for temperature.
VOLT-----SPEC. GRAVITY/TEMP. DIFF
1- 8.8------------1.29+4
2- 8.7------------1.21+4
3- 8.1------------1.15+4
4- 8.5------------1.18+4
5- 9.0------------1.23+4
6- 8.9------------1.21+4 (Trojan)

Battery #3 is bad, only showing 60%. Battery #4 isn't much better, shows a full charge but the SG is weak.

What's happening here is that the charger is trying to bring those 2 batteries up to charge and boiling the others while all that is going on.

The best solution is always to replace all of the batteries but the economical solution is to replace battery #3 and maybe #4 with a like condition battery to the rest of the pack. I'm not sure that brand is as important as the condition, although it's desirable to have the same brand and model.

Is there any strong opinions about who makes the better battery? Does Trojan, for instance, make more than one model of 8 volt battery and if so is there an advantage in using one or the other?

It is the Crown battery that GLEEMO got caught in his bf. Club Car has recently switched their OEM battery to Crown from Trojan.

Supposedly ; as long as it has the same warrenty, I think there are either
referbished or factory seconds (for blemishes not function).
Ask about the warrenty ?

I have a 2004 e-z-go I just bought. It has lift kit, big tires, full camo dipped body, rear flip-flop seat, all seats are camo, fender flares, brush guard, clays basket, etc. I was thinking of adding the beast motor and controller.

I also recently bought a 2002 Club Car DS, which is 48 volt, but is completely stock.

I would rather put the motor and controller on the e-z-go, since it has all the options, and I deer & turkey hunt. Will the e-z-go perform well enough with 36 volts?
Thanks.
